Marvin and Sarah Rosenbaum Kiddush Fund Print Email

Kiddush lunch plays a central role in bringing our community together every Shabbat. It is obviously an opportunity to eat a weekly meal together but it goes way beyond that. It is also a chance to visit together; to get to know one another in a relaxed, social setting and it is a critical ingredient in mixing the cement of our community. Many Conservative Synagogues across the country offer a weekly Kiddush lunch like ours at Beth El, but many do not because their leadership has not embraced the importance of this program. We are so fortunate that this is in place at Beth El and that our leadership supports it.

Recently, with a generous gift from Doug and Dr. Sharon Karp in recognition of Marvin Rosenbaum’s Simchat Torah honor in the fall of 2008, a special fund has been created at Beth El. The Marvin and Sarah Rosenbaum Kiddush Fund is now seeded and open for business! Please consider contributing to this fund whenever you have someone or something to commemorate. Consider hosting a Kiddush lunch at Beth El when you have a Simcha to celebrate, and celebrate it with all of us. It is about much more than the tuna fish and egg salad!

To make a tribute gift, please send in your completed form together with a check payable to Congregation Beth El or contact the office at 203-838-2710.
