Jewish Family Service provides comprehensive social service to the community-at-large regardless of religion, ethnic background, sexual orientation, disability or economic situation.
- The elderly receive comprehensive assistance, enabling them to maintain their independence.
- Children and adolescents achieve emotional health through play therapy, as well as individual or family counseling.
- Teens are assisted through workshops that address the specific issues that confront them in these challenging years.
- Individuals, couples and families who are undergoing transitions or life’s daily stresses participate in Family Life Education programs, which offer support groups, educational programs and life- enhancement seminars.
- Older adults seeking employment avail themselves of our Employment and Training Program and computer courses.
- Area residents experiencing financial difficulties receive food and personal care items from our Kosher Food Pantry. Limited emergency assistance is available to families in need as well.
- Families who cannot otherwise afford to send their children to Jewish day or overnight camps receive assistance to make their children’s dreams come true.
