Sandwiches & Sailing

Sunday, July 27 11:30-4:30 pm (weather permitting) at Longshore Sailing School , Westport , Ct. Join Congregation Beth El's sailing team as they defend their claim on the Kiddush Cup!! We are going to provide 30 minute boat rides for everyone who wants to go on 17' Hobie Getaway Catamarans. Wear swim suits, hats, sunglasses and lots and lots of sunscreen. Ages 4 and older only permitted on the boat. Life jackets are provided by Longshore Sailing School and are mandatory on the boat. Cost: $7 per person  or $12 per family. Chai Society Time for Summer Reading

Monday, August 4-7:30 pm at the home of Hilary Shaefitz. Our summer book will be Kabbalah: A Love Story by Rabbi Lawrence Kushner. This story is a  wonderful connection between the teachings of Kabbalah and a modern love story. This event is

 

free to all current paid up members of Chai Society and $10 for guests. Please bring 29 ounces of tomato sauce, large cans of grated non-perishable parmesan cheese, 16 ounce packages of Ziti, large bottles of Italian Salad Dressing & large cans of fruit. Beth El Soup Kitchen

Help needed 2 nd Thursday of each month. 10-12 set up & food prep or 12-2 serve & clean up. Large cans of baked beans urgently needed. To volunteer call Char Stabinsky at 846-0522.

Shalom Thursday

Shalom Thursday. Widows and widowers of various congregations in Fairfield County meet monthly for an evening of socializing at Beth El from 7:30-10:00 PM. Call Elinor Greenblatt 847-4055 for more information. Next meeting August 7 th .

 

Simcha Tree

Commemorate a simcha/special family occasion by inscribing the names of your loved ones on our Simcha Tree. Individual leaves are $100; large stones are $500. Contact lchaim@congbethel.org to place an order or for more information.

Duplicate Bridge
