The Tot Shabbat Committee is comprised of the Rabbi Fish, the VP for Education, Committee Chair Anne Marie Segal, parents and interested members.  The Committee is responsible for planning kid-friendly Shabbat and holiday services--starting at 10:30 am--for children who are up to around 5-6 years old.  Members of the Committee may also volunteer to lead singing, storytime, kiddush and other engaging activities for this age group.  As part of the services, the children march in the procession with the Torah scroll around the sanctuary and then leave the adult service for their next activity.

Tot Shabbat services are joyous and fun. They are a wonderful opportunity to fill young children with warm feelings about their relationship to the synagogue, old and new friends and the Beth El community. We are delighted to see their enthusiasm, wonder and love of Shabbat, the holidays and Judaism.

Congregation Beth El welcomes families and their young children to attend Tot Shabbat services. Services are open to both Beth El members and non-members.  If you are interested in joining the Tot Shabbat Committee or would like to be receive email bulletins and reminders about upcoming Tot Shabbat services, please call Rabbi Liz Rolle at 838-2710 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
