For School Year beginning September 5, 2023
Registration forms must be accompanied by a $50 registration fee and $500 deposit, both of which are non-refundable, and which are necessary to reserve a place for your child. Cash, check (made out to Congregation Beth El), Venmo (@Congregation-BethElNorwalk), Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
The Nitzan Nursery School (School) and the Care Giver(s) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Registration forms with the $50 registration fee and $500 deposit, both of which are non-refundable, are necessary in order to reserve a place for your child.  Synagogue members and siblings of current students have priority for available spaces until January 31, 2023.  Prices shown do not include the $50 annual registration fee, but do include the $500 deposit, which is applied to the final payment on March 1, 2024.  A monthly payment plan, beginning on August 1, 2023 and continuing through April 15, 2024, will also be available for an additional fee of $10 per monthly payment.   Please call the School Director to discuss this option.

2. The first payment is due August 1,2023, the second payment is due October 1, 2023, third payment is due January 15, 2024, and final payment is due on March 1, 2024 unless the monthly payment plan option is selected.  If a student withdraws after July 15, 2023 all fees (registration fee, deposit, and tuition for the entire year) are owed to the School.  This policy is essential as staffing decisions and commitments for the school are made at the time of registration and are based upon the number of staff necessary for the number of children enrolled. A loss of income from a withdrawal will cause the School to suffer a financial loss that cannot be remedied.  Interest of 1.5% per month will be charged on all amounts not paid by the applicable due date.  If an account is 30 days past due, attendance will be suspended and interest will continue to accrue until the account, including all accrued interest charges, is current.  Issues of financial hardship should be discussed in advance with the Synagogue’s Financial Secretary.  Exceptions to the School’s payment policy will only be made in extraordinary circumstances and will be at the sole discretion of the School Director and the Synagogue Executive Committee.

3. Enrollment is for the entire School year. Fees will not be prorated for absences or circumstances beyond the School's control (other than for situations listed below).  The School shall make the final determination for class placement.  The School reserves the right at any time to refuse admission or to require withdrawal of any Student if, in the opinion of the School's faculty, the presence of the Student is detrimental to the health, well-being or progress of the other students.  In such event, there will be no refund of fees paid or waiver of any amounts owed.

4. Emergency Shut Down Policy:   If the School is forced to close due to a Force Majeure Event (as defined below) for more than two consecutive weeks, a fifty percent (50%) refund will be offered upon Parent’s request for missed school days beyond the two consecutive week period. All refunds will be processed within thirty (30) days of request. At the request of the Parents, any requested refund may be credited to future tuition (including registration fees for the following year), or may be classified as a tax-deductible charitable donation to Congregation Beth El. The School's performance under this Agreement is subject to a public health risk, acts of God, war, government regulation, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities, or any other emergency or situation of a comparable nature beyond the School’s control (each a “Force Majeure Event”), making it impossible, illegal, or which materially affects the School’s ability to operate the school and perform its obligations under this Agreement.

5. The School assumes no liability for any damages, injuries, accidents or illnesses incurred by the Student, either directly or indirectly, while attending School, being transported to or from School, or participating in any School activity away from the School grounds, except for any damages, injury or illness which arises as a result of the gross negligence or gross malfeasance of any employee of the School.

6. This Agreement may not be modified unless the modification is in writing and signed by an authorized representative of the Nursery School.
